CV of Mr. Westhoff

After completing his engineering studies at the Zwolle Institute of Technology, Mr Westhoff studied business economics and monetary economics at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, as well as construction and real estate economics at the University of Amsterdam. Ultimately, he focused on monetary economics and quantitative financial economic issues relating to the real estate sector. He recently completed a programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Following his studies, he started working for the then Bayerische Hypotheken- und Wechselbank (now HypoVereinsbank). His first home base was Munich. However, shortly after he was transferred to the head office for North Rhine-Westphalia in Düsseldorf, where he provided support for the ‘Dutch Desk’, among other responsibilities.
Following his return to the Netherlands, Mr Westhoff joined Bouwfonds Property Finance. Here he was involved from the outset in the foreign expansion. In his last position he was country manager for Germany and Belgium, where he was involved in project financing and joint ventures. Next he started working for the Westdeutsche Immobilienbank in Amsterdam with a focus on investment and construction financing for the Benelux market. After four years, Mr Westhoff was asked to jointly work on creating a Benelux branch within the Halifax Bank of Scotland’s pan-European financing platform. In 2004, he became independent and within Hoffsingel devotes his efforts to the management of real estate and real estate structures, generally in a cross-border setting.
